ABOUT BIG DOG CHEF
Big Dog Chef Productions (“BDC”) is a New York–based boutique production company with a focus on creative storytelling, high-quality content, and an aim to produce work that resonates both artistically and commercially. Founded by producers Sam Felsher and Alexander Wasserman, BDC specializes in bringing creative ideas to life through narrative films, series, documentary and branded content, from concept to completion.
BDC was built to combine thoughtful production with passion for original storytelling. Whether it’s a character-driven film, stage production, documentary series or branded content, collaboration is a top priority at BDC — partnering with filmmakers, writers, agencies, and brands who value craft and a distinctive voice.

Impose Your Sumo
Three wrestlers from Queens train at NYC’s first sumo gym with hopes of reaching the 2025 Sumo World Championships in Bangkok. To get there, AJ, the confident frontrunner, Oscar, the club president and former medalist, and Dan, the team’s gentle giant coach, must first battle through the U.S. National Championships in Austin. At its core, the film explores camaraderie, resilience, and the pursuit of belonging through sport.

Our production services span on-set producing, direction, and support, followed by post-production editing, sound design, color, and post management. Beyond that, we create branded content and commercials, as well as short films, stage productions, documentaries, and digital series.
